akdale Credit Union is a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution owned and controlled by the members who use their services. Members' savings are called shares and represent ownership in the credit union. They exist to serve their members and provide financial services at reasonable costs. They give back to their members in the form of dividends. The credit union concept is "People Helping People". Benefits of ownership include higher savings rates, lower loan rates, fewer, lower, or no service fees, and voting rights at the annual meeting.
